In the spotlight
The THEIA Spring 2016 Bridal collection is inspired by the whimsical Art Nouveau illustrations of Danish illustrator Kay Rasmus Nielsen. He was born during the reign of Queen Victoria, and worked in the early 20th century during the Belle Époque Era.
He illustrated books such as “Fairy tales By Hans Christian Anderson” and “Hansel and Gretel” and “Other Stories by the Brothers Grimm”.
The THEIA bride follows him on a journey through his illuminated magical pages filled with Victorian dancing princesses skipping through enchanted forests.
This fairytale conjures brides in weightless transparent embroideries as though spun by spiders, Cobweb fine Chantilly lace, butterflies fluttering on Silk Organza, Art Nouveau inspired hand beaded gowns and an otherworldly bodice created using the 21st century magic of 3-D technology.
